If you didn’t know, Turon is a popular street snack originated from the Philippines. They’re similar to our popiah rolls, but are filled with bananas and jackfruit. Thanks to our local TURON, these sweet treats are made readily available to you through their pop-up booths and island-wide delivery service! Trust me, their turon can get addictive because it has a lovely sweet and savoury taste, and goes really well with their sambal kicap dip! Take note that it’s best eaten when hot for that nice, crispy texture. Their turon balls, which are like jemput-jemput, are so SEDAP and even comes in durian flavour for you durian lovers (MUST TRY)! 🤤

If you had watched my recent visit to Ichikokudo’s outlet here, you’d understand why I rated them my new favourite Halal Japanese restaurant. They offer really tasty starters (no kidding I’d recommend you to try them all!) such as their gyoza, karaage, ebi fry, and sashimi. Ichikokudo cooks up some really great ramen that actually retains the authentic Japanese taste. So if you can’t go to Japan anytime soon to eat some good ramen it’s okay since you can get your very own authentic Halal ramen from any of their 6 outlets here! 😂 Also, if you’d like more broth for your ramen when you dine in, don’t be shy to ask any of their staff!
