The owners actually learnt directly from an Italian chef on how to make gelato! Here’s another ice cream place located in Tampines (oh you lucky Easties!) to add to the list! 3. THE CO-OP
The Co-op is a lovely restaurant that offers Western, British, and even Mexican cuisine, but did you know that they make some mean ice cream desserts as well? We recently visited The Co-op and after a good meal, we requested them to serve us their best dessert. And wow, we certainly did not expect to be as impressed as we ended up being after devouring what they had surprised us with. We had their Fluff Monster Pancakes — pancakes with Nutella, speculoos, and toasted marshmallow fluff (omg!!), drizzled with dark chocolate sauce, and topped with ice cream. The flavours worked so well together and every bite has you wanting more. A sinful dessert, but definitely worth the try guys! The Co-op’s other ice cream desserts include their Chocolate Lava Melt and Waffles with Ice Cream. Enjoy them all FRIENDS-discounted! 🤗

If you happen to be at Changi Airport, you wouldn’t wanna miss out on this amazing FRIENDS-discounted treat. Enjoy ice cream desserts at Commons that look so good, and taste even better — which includes waffles, brownies, cake slices, and even crème brulee and glutinous rice balls (yes all topped with ice cream 😱)!!! During our visit to Commons, we tried their Salted Caramel Waffle with Apple Berry Crisp that looks like a mini mountain of sugar HAHA! It’s basically a stack of waffles covered in apples, berries and oat crumble, drizzled with salted caramel sauce (there was so much!!), and served with a side of Cookies & Cream ice cream scoop. We also tried their Gula Melaka Banana Lopes — pandan-infused glutinous rice balls and caramelised banana slices, drizzled with Gula Melaka sauce, and topped with ice cream. Best believe we left feeling so full and happy. But warning, their ice cream desserts will definitely leave you craving for more! 🤤

Alright what about ice cream with pancakes? 😋 Beyond Pancakes is a must to explore for their delicious desserts that are truly beyond their pancakes. They specialise in Pannenkoek, which is a Dutch-style pancake that is larger and thinner than the classic pancake. Most of their Sweet Pannenkoek dishes come with a scoop of ice cream such as their Vanilla Hot Toffee Banana and Mount Berry. We tried their Cheese Nutella Roll during our visit there last year and we’d say this dessert really takes the (pan)cake! 😘 Their classic pancakes, served with butter and maple syrup, has an option for additional topping of ice cream — with pancakes flavours like White Chocolate Chip and Strawberry Cream Cheese.
