It’s the time of year where I’m scrambling for Chinese New Year Goodies or Cookies for my Chinese neighbours to wish them a Happy New Year. I have such pleasant neighbours who have gifted me things over the years, it is only appropriate to return the gesture this weekend.

2. Three’s A Crowd
Threesacrowd is one of our favourite places to go for waffles! This CNY, they are also offering their home made CNY Cookies and Tarts! These are available for pre order, collection period starts from 10 January – 2 February. I’ve personally tried them all, and I especially like the balance of flavours of the Pineapple Tarts.

3. WONDERS Bakery
This is Wonders Bakery’s first Chinese New Year, and they are offering Pineapple Tarts, Ondeh Tarts, Salted Egg Cookie, Arrowhead Chips, Florentine. Look at them! Everything looks so good!
Wonders Bakery only uses the freshest ingredients with no preservatives, and their bakes are baked fresh to order. So they probably will run out soon, call ahead to ask if they have extras! (or if they’ll be making some after the CNY weekend 🙂

4. swissbake cny cookies
Swissbake sent us details on their CNY Specials, created with Disney’s best loved characters in mind. This series looks like such a fun set to collect, and it looks perfect as gifts!
The Swissbake’s Green Pea Cookies are sweet and savoury. You’ll be able to taste the crunchy pea bits. The other flavour available this year is the Almond Drop Cookies which has an intense almond flavour and melt-in-your-mouth texture.
Each of these retail for $13.80. Swissbake’s Mickey Go Local tins is also making a comeback this year, with Pineapple Balls in each tin design! I am especially looking forward to grabbing the bottle of green pea cookies off the Swissbake shelves tomorrow.

Mad About Cake is famous in KL and Johor Bahru, and now they are beginning to make their presence felt in Singapore. They had previously sent to me 5 of their cookie selections, and I happen to find one of them to be very suitable for gifting this season. This cookie i none other than the Custard Cornflakes Cookies!
These custard cookies babies got #ravingreviews from me for the first one that I popped into my mouth. Needless to say, the custard cornflakes cookies were the first bottle to go completely empty out of the five we received in our office. You can place your orders through them directly. Butter Studio now has grown to include 4 outlets across Singapore! If anything, one of the biggest reasons for their success is their commitment to quality, originality, and the local tastes that anchor their brand. Just like the last, this year’s CNY catalogue includes their Parmesan Cheese Pineapple Balls – a very traditional taste and texture with a savoury twist.
