Every year since 2014, the halalfoodhunt.com team opens up auditions and calls for kueh samples from our home grown bakers to be submitted for tasting and reviews. This year we have presented it in a The Kueh Auditions format to let our customers know that everything sold on The Kueh Auditions are the most delicious. The team then curates only the best tasting bakes for its selection of Raya Kueh for sale on its website: bakes.halalfoodhunt.com. This curated list of Raya Bakes aims to represent the best that our ‘Eid loving community has to offer.

The Kueh Auditions 2017 is a competition where bakers submit their Hari Raya Kueh for auditions with halalfoodhunt.com. The team at halalfoodhunt.com has tasted, and selected fifty types of kueh from bakers that eventually make it as a finalist in this competition, buyers can pre-order and select from a variety of kueh, ranging from tapak kuda nutella rolls popular among the young ones, to Kuih Makmur, the classic white cookie.Included in the many perks of a finalist, is being consistently featured on all of halalfoodhunt.com’s social media channels which reach up to 100,000 weekly, including a loyal following of 800 FRIENDS of halalfoodhunt.com cardholders. What’s new this year
This year, every purchase of kueh from The Kueh Auditions will get you three bottles (all different flavours) of a special cooling drink. The drink reduces heatiness of the body which is always welcome in our Singapore weather and especially after eating rich fatty foods like rendang and kuih during the two blessed months of Ramadan and Syawal!
The drink was selected because it tastes good (everything on The Kueh Auditions must taste good first of all!). After that, the team read the benefits of the drink which reduced heatiness and wanted to introduce to the community this drink (which is also halal-certified).
The benefits of reducing body heat by drinking cooling water are that it makes you a cooler person, and reduces any body uncomfort due to heatiness. When your body gets heaty, you tend to get pimples, or mouth ulcers and headaches which is really unglam when the festive season comes around! Drinking cooling water also balances all that spicy and pungent food (like durian) that we Singaporeans love to eat especially during this season.

Three Legs Cooling Water 3
The drink is Three Legs Cooling Water which comes in three flavours Lychee, Lime, and Guava. This flavoured version is packaged in a more modern bottle.Your mothers and grandmothers, or even you would know it as Air Badak, but there is absolutely no ingredient from the badak (rhinoceros) here. The mineral used to cool your body down is a Gypsum Fibrosum (Shi Gao, a Chinese natural ingredient) that is very effective in reducing body heatiness. Three Legs Cooling Water/Body Coolant is manufactured under the internationally recognised GMP (Good Manufacturing Practise) standards, and is halal-certified.
